Doepfer A-100PMB Monster Base PSU3 Product Details
The monster case substructure A-100PMB (Portable Monster Base) has the same width as the A-100 monster case and is intended as a substructure for it. It can also be used as a stand-alone unit without a monster case. The base has a removable lid with carrying handle for easy transport of the unit. Two A-100 power supplies (PSU2) and 4 backplanes are installed.
The substructure has two rows for installing modules: a horizontal row and a row inclined at 45 degrees. The usable width is identical to that of the Monster Case and is 168 TE. The outer dimension of the substructure is slightly larger than that of the monster case, as the mechanical construction is somewhat more complicated. This has the advantage that instead of a monster case, two normal A-100 cases or low-cost cases can also fit on it.All backplanes are located in the rear area (i.e. also the backplanes for the modules that are mounted in the front area), so that the height in the front area can be fully used. The maximum depth for modules in the front row is approx. 70 mm.On the page A-100 Monster Base you will find more information and pictures about the Monster Case substructure.
