Doepfer A-131 VCA exponential

The "A-131" module is a voltage-controlled amplifier.

An exponential VCA (A-131) is usually used for audio applications and a linear VCA (A-130) for control applications. However, this is not a mandatory requirement.

The gain of the VCA is determined by the control voltages at the CV inputs and the position of the gain control, which is used to set the basic gain of the VCA.

Each VCA has two audio inputs with upstream attenuators whose sum mix is amplified according to the control voltages and the position of the gain control.
