The Player II Stratocaster HSS embodies timeless Fender charm with its world-famous design, but under the hood it's ultra-modern. Every detail is designed for smooth playability. The modern C-profile neck with a silky urethane finish at the back has a maple or rosewood slab fingerboard with a 9.5" radius, gently rounded edges and 22 medium jumbo frets. The body is available in classic alder, chambered ash or chambered mahogany. You can also choose between the popular timeless Fender finishes and brand new vintage colors that Fender has just pulled out of the archive. Glassy, bell-like Player Series Alnico V Strat® single-coils and a snappy Player Series Alnico II bridge humbucker deliver crystal-clear highs, musical mids and crunchy lows. The 5-way switch can be used to create different combinations with a practically infinite variety of sounds. The strings run over a synchronized 2-point tremolo bridge. ClassicGear™ tuners keep the tuning stable.
