Panorama CS12 is a dedicated DAW channel strip controller that initially supports Logic Pro 10.8 or higher. The compact desktop controller is optimized for direct plug-in control and provides one-button access to Logic Pro's plug-in slots, sends and channel mixer.
The Panorama CS12's 100 mm motorized fader controls the volume of the selected channel. The channel controls also include a dedicated pan knob that is illuminated by the channel color, a 6-segment volume display and buttons for arm, solo and mute.
RGB-illuminated LED buttons allow one-touch selection of plug-in slots, with parameters instantly assigned to the 12 RGB-illuminated knobs and 8 buttons.
The names of the plug-in parameters and their values are shown on the TFT display with a color coding that corresponds to the RGB illumination of the controls.
All Logic Pro insert plug-ins as well as many third-party plug-ins (Waves, UAD, FabFilter, etc.) are predefined for instant control. Users can customize the mapping via Nektar's learning menu, which also allows the selection of RGB LED control colors for custom color coding. Nektarine software can be used to further edit the plugin mapping, complete with advanced navigation and parameter name customization.
Additional channel and sends menus allow control of up to 12 sends, Logic Pro's SmartControls and two user pages where Logic Pro's proprietary learn function can be used to assign parameters, for example for instrument control. for example for instrument control.
Designed from the ground up using Logic Pro's control surface API, Panorama CS12 and Logic Pro offer a unique tactile control experience with features never before found in a DAW controller. For example, while the standard resolution is enough to control most parameters with a twist, Panorama CS12 with Fine Tuning enabled
Panorama CS12 can control at 10 times the standard resolution. Parameters with large value ranges, such as the EQ frequency, can thus be controlled down to the smallest detail. This is identical to the plug-in UI.
The motorized fader can also be used to control any parameter in the current channel strip, including the parameters of plugins hosted on that channel, by simply selecting it with the mouse and moving the fader.
By activating the automation button, you can select Logic Pro's automation options (write, lock, read, etc.). Additional automation options developed by Nektar are also available, such as Auto-Touch, which activates automation only when the fader is touched, and Single-Point, which creates an automation point at the current timeline position, with the fader setting the value. The 18 function buttons provide direct access to DAW transport, timeline/loop navigation, channel selection and window operation.
