Neumann MCM 114 Set Vio/Vla Product Details
Genuine Neumann sound for close miking of acoustic instruments in live applications. The MCM 114 VIO/VIA (MC 1) is a high-quality set for use on the rib of a violin, viola, mandolin and similar instruments.
The new standard for close-up microphonics
The Miniature Clip Mic MCM system sets the bar high for eletret microphones. In typical Neumann fashion, the system perfectly reproduces the characteristic sound of acoustic instruments in live applications. In doing so, it defines new standards, for example, for natural sound, manageability, reliable mounting, and durability. The system includes nine instrument-specific mounting clips for a wide range of acoustic instruments. The modular overall design allows easy replacement of individual components and guarantees an exceptionally attractive return on investment.
The Kaspel: Perfection in Eight Parts
A new level of tonal balance, a more natural bass and midrange, and tranparent highs: The newly developed KK 14 with cardioid pickup pattern leaves behind previous limitations of the electret principle and fully reproduces the characteristic sound of acoustic instruments. Neumann has developed a unique, layer-based design for this purpose. In this process, all components have been designed for optimal performance, are individually manufactured, and then assembled by hand. Strict quality control guarantees an unprecedented level of sonic consistency: each capsule sounds exactly the same and delivers a typically neutral Neumann sound. This saves time during setup and sound checks, since manufacturing tolerances no longer have to be compensated for by EQ. With extremely low self-noise (23 dBA) and a maximum sound pressure level of 153 dB SPL, the KK 14 delivers perfect sound with both very quiet and very loud instruments. The titanium cabinet is extremely rugged and designed for multi-year live use.
Compatibility
The Miniature Clip Mic MCM system includes interchangeable cables for 3.5 mm jack, Lemo, Mini-XLR 4 pin and MicroDot - adapters are not required. The microphone can also be used wired with the MCM 100 output stage and 3.5 mm jack plug.
