Doepfer MSY2 MIDI-to-SYNC/Clock Interface

MSY2 converts MIDI commands (start, stop, clock) into the corresponding SYNC signals, which are used by Roland devices such as the TB303 (bass line) or TR808 (drum computer). With two SYNC sockets connected in parallel and a 3.5 mm jack socket for clock, the device offers versatile connection options. The SYNC/MIDI clock divider factor is adjustable via external DIP switches (1:1 to 1:16), and the polarities of start/stop and clock can also be adjusted. The pulse width of the clock output varies depending on the divider factor.

The MSY2 has a sturdy, black metal housing (60 × 60 × 35 mm) and displays SYNC clock and SYNC start/stop visually via LEDs. Power is supplied via an external plug-in power supply (7-12V/100mA) or optionally directly via the MIDI line, but by default via the power supply unit.
