The opsix SE is an Altered FM synthesizer with 6 operators and an intuitive control concept based on a clearly arranged operator mixer with color-coded faders and knobs. With its elegant and at the same time robust metal housing as well as the premium keyboard with 61 keys and aftertouch, it represents the Pro version of the KORG opsix, which meets even the highest demands. As if that wasn't enough, the maximum polyphony of the Japanese-made instrument has been increased to up to 80 voices (compared to 32 voices for the opsix). The opsix SE's preset sounds have all been reworked to accommodate the new aftertouch functionality, and new additional sounds have been added. The chic metal case of the instrument gives it a particularly noble character and effortlessly copes with the rigors of hard everyday touring. The incredibly versatile Altered FM sound generation from the opsix has remained, which can cover six different synthesis forms with FM, subtractive synthesis, virtual semi-modular synthesis, virtual analog synthesis, waveshaping and additive synthesis. If the 40 factory-prepared algorithms don't deliver the desired sound, you can create your own algorithms in no time at all - for each sound program individually, if necessary! The virtual patchbay offers no less than 12 different routing options. Combined with the high-quality effects, of which up to three can be used simultaneously, and the powerful, polyphonic step sequencer with motion sequencing, this creates a variety of sounds that hardly any other hardware synth is capable of delivering on its own. And to ensure that the instrument is well protected during transport, it comes with a matching KORG hard case.
