Roland Aira Compact P-6

The Roland P-6 Creative Sampler expands the AIRA Compact series with a powerful, compact sampler with six tracks. Despite its small size, the P-6 offers a wide range of functions that make it a versatile creative tool for musicians and producers. Outstanding features include granular sound design, sample slicing, resampling and many integrated effects. The P-6 allows you to create, edit and arrange samples in real time, with all key functions directly accessible via buttons and knobs, making it easy to jam and experiment.

Some of the P-6's functions originate from the popular Roland SP-404 MkII, which makes it an interesting alternative. In contrast to its direct competitor, the Korg volca sample, the P-6 can sample directly on the device and play back samples chromatically. These are two of the device's big plus points.

The P-6 is also equipped with analogue sync in/out sockets, which enable quick and uncomplicated synchronization with other devices in the AIRA Compact series. MIDI In/Out and a USB-C connection for audio and MIDI are also available. The audio inputs and outputs consist of stereo mini jack sockets. Thanks to the integrated rechargeable battery, which is charged via USB-C, the P-6 has a runtime of around 3 hours, making it particularly mobile.

The sampler offers various options for recording samples. You can either use the integrated microphone, the analog input or a smartphone via USB-C. In addition, WAV files can be imported from a computer using the special P-6 Sample Tool software. The internal memory holds up to 48 samples, with the maximum length per sample being 5.9 seconds (mono, 44.1 kHz). This length is halved for stereo samples.
