The Epiphone Les Paul Standard 50s Goldtop LH is designed for left-handers and lovingly recreates the feel and tone of Les Pauls from the 50s. Epiphone's long friendship with Mr. Les Paul began in 1940, when Les spent evenings experimenting in what was then the Epiphone factory in Manhattan, building one of the world's first solid-body electric guitars. Les' first solid-body guitar, nicknamed "The Log", inspired the Les Paul Standard, considered by many to be the greatest electric guitar ever made. The guitar features a mahogany body, maple top (AAA veneer on non-opaque finishes), mahogany neck with '50s profile, binding and long-neck tenon, Indian Laurel fingerboard with classic trapezoid inlay, other appointments include Epiphone's new vintage deluxe tuners, the popular Epiphone ProBucker™ humbuckers™ and gold top hat knobs with dial pointers. It also features the Kalamazoo headstock, rounded fingerboard edges for a comfortable playing feel, a GraphTech® NuBone® nut, classic 50s wiring and CTS® pots.
