With the E-II EX NT Black, ESP has a first-class metal guitar with a top-class sound that is designed for the tough stuff. The ESP E-II EX is based on a traditional all-mahogany construction which, in combination with the set-thru neck that extends deep into the body, promises extremely powerful sounds. It also promises maximum playing comfort thanks to its Thin-U neck profile with a pleasant satin finish. To produce the perfect metal sound, the E-II EX NT electric guitar is equipped with active EMG pickups. While the EMG 60 on the neck is moderate and offers transparent cleans and singing drive, the EMG 81 on the bridge turns out to be a real steam hammer, whose sharply focused mids provide the basis for juicy high-gain distortion.
