The Player II Stratocaster embodies timeless Fender charm with its world-famous curves, but under the hood it's ultra-modern. Every detail is designed for smooth playability. The modern C-profile neck with a silky urethane finish at the back has a maple or rosewood slab fingerboard with a 9.5" radius, gently rounded edges and 22 medium jumbo frets. The body is available in classic alder, chambered ash or chambered mahogany. You also have the choice between the popular timeless Fender finishes and brand new historical vintage colors that Fender has freshly retrieved from the archive. Player Series Alnico V Strat® single-coils deliver crystal-clear highs, musical mids and crisp lows. With the 5-way blade switch, the pickups can be switched to different combinations with practically infinite sound variety; from singing clean sounds of the neck pickup to the throaty bite of the bridge pickup. The strings run over a synchronized 2-point tremolo bridge. ClassicGear™ tuners keep the tuning stable.
