Technical details of the Nord Lead A1

At the heart of the Nord Lead A1 is a high-quality analog modeling engine that works with a sampling rate of 96 kHz and 32-bit floating point processing. This combination ensures an exceptionally detailed and musically convincing sound quality that realistically emulates classic analog synthesizers - and goes far beyond.

The innovative oscillator concept of the Nord Lead A1 is unique in its operating logic: instead of complex menus, the synthesizer uses a central selection structure with eight oscillator modes (Pitch, Detune, Shape, Sync, AM, Noise, Sub Mix, FM), which can be adjusted at lightning speed via a central rotary wheel. This allows you to create complex sound textures in no time at all without getting bogged down in complicated submenus.

A versatile LFO with five waveforms is available for modulation, which can be used flexibly to control numerous parameters. The filter section offers 12 dB and 24 dB low-pass filters as well as high-pass and band-pass filters - ideal for classic synth sounds, but also for modern sound progressions.

Numerous effects are available for further sound shaping: ensemble, chorus, phaser, flanger, ring modulator and drive provide additional sound depth and movement. These effects are seamlessly integrated into the signal flow and can be intuitively adjusted - perfect for live performance and sound design.

The Nord Lead A1 is multitimbral in four parts, allowing four independent sounds to be played or layered simultaneously. The polyphony is 24 voices, which allows complex chords, layers and textures to be played without breaking up. All four parts can be controlled and adjusted directly via the central control panel with its clear structure - with dedicated knobs and buttons for quick access.

The keybed features 49 synth-action keys that are ideal for fast leads as well as chord playing or arpeggios. With a weight of only 4.85 kg and compact dimensions of 802 x 92 x 260 mm, the Nord Lead A1 is extremely portable, making it the ideal companion for tour, studio or jam session.
