Technical details of the Furch Violet Gc-SM Master's Choice
The guitar has a dreadnought body shape (type D), which is known for its powerful sound with a wide dynamic range. It offers plenty of volume in the bass range and projects particularly well - ideal for powerful strumming, but also sensitive enough for finer playing styles.
The solid top is made of high-quality Sitka spruce (A-quality) and delivers a clear, direct response with brilliant highs. The layered mahogany back and sides contribute to a warm, mellow tone, while the arched back is constructed without additional bracing - which improves resonance and reduces weight.
The neck is made from African mahogany and features a comfortable Furch Soft V profile that feels natural in the hand. The ebony fingerboard with a radius of 400 mm offers comfortable playability across all 20 brushed frets. White position dots on the edge of the fingerboard help with orientation on stage.
The nut width is 45 mm, which is ideal for both fingerstyle players and chord players. The ebony bridge with a string spacing of 55 mm and the plastic bridge pins round off the setup. The nut and zero fret are made of compensated black TUSQ, which ensures precise intonation and optimum vibration transmission.
The Furch Machine tuners in chrome with a ratio of 1:15 ensure reliable tuning and enable precise retuning even with sensitive nuances. The guitar is factory-fitted with Elixir Phosphor Bronze Nanoweb 12-53 strings - durable, brilliant and perfectly matched to the sound characteristics of the guitar.
The special look of the Violet Gc-SM is completed by black binding, a black pickguard and the ebony headstock veneer. The open-pore finish not only preserves the natural look, but also the full tonal development of the wood.
Why the Furch Violet Gc-SM Master's Choice is convincing
The Furch Violet Gc-SM Master's Choice is an excellent choice for guitarists who are looking for a reliable, powerful-sounding and visually stylish instrument with professional stage suitability. The combination of solid spruce top, mahogany body, comfortable neck profile and high-quality hardware delivers an all-round convincing playing and sound experience.
