Jackson Pro Series Signature Josh Smith Soloist SL7 ET E-Gitarre

Formed in 2009, Australian progressive metalcore band Northlane has established itself as a trendsetter in the field, evolving and pushing into new areas with each album release. Founding member, co-songwriter and rhythm guitarist Josh Smith is at the heart of the band and Jackson is proud to present the brand new Pro Series Signature Josh Smith Soloist™ SL7 ET in his honor.

The 7-string collaboration starts with a 27" scale length, which is essential for a wider tonal range and the extreme low tunings Smith depends on. The Soloist™ alder body is slim and ergonomically shaped, and has been paired with a graphite-reinforced, through-body caramel maple neck to enhance stability and sustain.

The ebony fingerboard, with 24 jumbo frets and a 12-16" radius, is designed for effortless playability and has a more pronounced curve near the nut that gradually flattens to a very slight curve toward the upper frets for fast solos and comfortable bends. Glow-in-the-dark Luminlay® dots are considered essential equipment for today's touring musicians, providing great fretboard control on the darkest metal stages, while the heel-mounted truss rod adjustment dial allows quick neck adjustments on the fly.

Under the hood is a HS pickup configuration with Smith's signature Bare Knuckle Impulse pickup set. The Impulse humbucker on the bridge is a full, tight pickup suitable for lower-pitched guitars, but also for medium-gain applications for full, muscular rock mids as well as overdriven tones without drowning in the mix. The Impulse single-coil neck pickup delivers a focused low end with a super-smooth treble response. Control layout consists of a three-way pickup blade switch and a pair of black-rimmed Strat®-style volume knobs for each pickup.
