The Epiphone 1961 Les Paul SG Standard in the color Aged Classic White was made in collaboration with the Gibson Custom Shop and represents the impressive replica of one of the most important and popular guitar designs of all time. The Epiphone 1961 Les Paul™ SG™ Standard is a tribute to the legendary original - the very first SG. In 1961, the classic Les Paul model was briefly discontinued and a completely new design evolved into what is now known as the SG or "Solid Guitar". The guitar is equipped with a solid mahogany body with double cutaway and Custom Shop Historic edge binding. It also has the one-piece, fast-playing SlimTaper™ C-shaped neck profile of the legendary early mahogany Les Paul SG models. It also features a historically influenced long pickguard and is equipped with a pair of Gibson™ BurstBucker™ humbucker pickups wired with CTS® pots and Mallory™ capacitors. It also has a GraphTech® saddle and a Switchcraft® output jack and toggle switch. The Epiphone Deluxe tuners have a historically inspired double-ring design. There is also a vintage-style hard case so that you can always store your Epiphone 1961 Les Paul SG Standard safely and transport it comfortably.
