For a long time left-hand basses were hard to come by and bass players often had to settle for reversed right-hand instruments. Although there always have been left handed bass players that were very influential, or are up to this day. Some examples are: Paul McCartney, Doug Pinnick (King's X), Scott Reeder (Kyuss and others) or Paul Gray (Slipknot). Today there is a broad range of left hand basses available from different manufacturers so that every musician can find an adequate instrument.
